Living with PCOS can create experiences that affect how a person feels about their body and their everyday life. This case study will explore those experiences through transpersonal hypnotherapy. Participants will have the opportunity to look at their experiences from both a personal and spiritual perspective.
Six 1½-hour sessions will be held over six weeks. Each meeting will begin with a conversation about what the participant would like to focus on. Time will also be set aside at the end of the session to reflect on what they experienced during hypnosis.
The exploration may take many different directions. A participant might want to understand how PCOS has affected their relationship with their body. Another person may wish to explore changes in self-image or feelings surrounding femininity. Experiences related to fertility and reproductive health may also be explored when they are relevant to the participant.
There will also be space to look at the emotional side of living with PCOS. Participants may explore how they have responded to changes in their body or challenges they have encountered. They can use the sessions to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and consider new ways of navigating their experiences.
Spiritual exploration may become part of the process as well. Participants may receive personal insight or develop a different perspective on their journey. They may also explore questions about identity, purpose, or their connection with their inner self.
This case study aims to provide a deeper look into the personal and spiritual experiences of individuals living with PCOS. It will also explore what participants may discover about themselves through the hypnotherapy process. The study does not suggest that hypnotherapy treats or cures PCOS. Each person’s experience will be approached individually.
