Absolutely. Here’s a version with shorter sentences and much less comma-heavy wording.
Many of the struggles we have as adults can begin during childhood. This can include anxiety, people pleasing, or feeling like we are never enough.
Some childhood experiences can stay with us for years. The inner child is a way of describing the younger part of ourselves that still carries those emotions and memories.
We cannot change what happened in the past. We can change how those experiences affect us today. Hypnotherapy can help you connect with that younger part of yourself. It can give you a chance to offer the safety and support that may have been missing back then.
When we are awake and dealing with a trigger, we often try to reason with ourselves. We may tell ourselves that we should not feel this way. Yet the emotional reaction can still be there.
This is because emotions do not always respond to logic.
During a hypnosis session, I guide my clients into a state of deep relaxation. Their mind becomes quieter and their attention becomes more focused. This can make it easier to connect with the subconscious mind.
In this state, my clients may become aware of what their younger self has been trying to express. This can include emotions or patterns that continue to show up in their adult lives.
Inner child healing through hypnotherapy can be viewed as a form of reparenting. Your adult self becomes the protector your younger self needed. You can also become the source of understanding and support that was missing before.
The goal is not to change the past. The goal is to help you relate to it in a new way so it does not continue to control how you feel and respond today.
The sessions we do often involve:
-
-
Identifying the Origin- Pinpointing the specific age or event where a limiting belief, like “I am not safe” or “I am unimportant,” first took root.
-
-
-
Providing Comfort- Mentally offering the younger version of yourself the words, hugs, or presence that would have changed the experience at the time.
-
-
-
Releasing Stored Emotion- Allowing the child to express suppressed anger, sadness, or fear in a safe, controlled environment.
-
-
-
Updating the Script- Helping the subconscious realize that the rules created in childhood to survive are no longer necessary for your adult life.
-
Watching the shift that occurs during these sessions is incredibly moving. My clients frequently report a lightness in their chest, or a sudden clarity that they have not felt in years. When the inner child feels seen and protected, the adult self no longer has to carry the burden of those old defenses.
You don’t have to keep carrying the weight of the past. If you are ready to meet your inner child and begin the work of lasting transformation, I am here to guide you through the process. Book a session with me here.
