One of the questions people may have before starting hypnotherapy is how many sessions they’ll need. The honest answer is that it depends on the person and what they want to work on. Some people may choose to have a single session focused on a specific goal. Others may prefer multiple sessions so they have more time to work through different areas or continue building on what they experience during hypnosis.
There isn’t a magic number of sessions that works for everyone. Your goals, your experiences and what you’d like to address can all play a role in deciding how many sessions may be appropriate for you.
During your first session, we’ll talk about what brought you to hypnotherapy and what you’d like to work on. This gives us an opportunity to understand what you’re looking for and decide how to approach your sessions.
You may also notice changes in how you think or feel after your first session. Some people know they want to continue working on the same topic. Others may discover something different they’d like to address in a future session.
Hypnotherapy can also be approached one session at a time. You don’t have to commit to a large number of sessions before you’ve experienced what it’s like to work with me. I also believe it’s important to find a hypnotherapist you feel comfortable with. Feeling comfortable with the person guiding your session can make it easier to relax and participate in the process.
If you’re curious about how many sessions might be right for you, you can contact me and tell me a little about what you’d like to work on. You can also fill out the hypnotherapy application if you’re interested in scheduling a session with Magically Hypnosis.
